Col. Sir Richard H. Glynn, Bt, OBE, TD, ADC, DL, MP. Richard Glynn was commissioned into the Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry on 5.4.30. He wrote the history of the regiment in 1943 and rose to command the regiment in 1944. Post-war he was 2ic 128 Brigade and later became ADC to HM The Queen. He served as MP for North Dorset and was a Commissioner for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. He died in 1980.
