DFM was L/G 23/9/1941 in recognition of gallantry displayed in flying operations against the enemy. Presented by the King 21/2/1942. With copy service papers, listed as 'Missing' 1/6/1942 Prisoner of War. Listed as Ex POW 7/5/1945. Served with 44 Sqdn.
