A polished mahogany gunsmith made revolver case, most likely for a medium size Tranter or Beaumont Adams Percussion Revolver. Accessories include a good plain brass nozzled, bag shaped, copper pistol flask. A good Pewter oil bottle by James Dixon and Sons Sheffield. An ebony handled nipple wrench an old tin of Joyce Caps and a bullet mould. Original green baize lining in GC for age. Circular brass escutcheon to lid, key missing. Length 16" Fin Section 7.5". Fin section unscrews revealing an empty top body with internal segments. The fuze is a propeller type concealed under a protective type cap. Fin section stamped '53 JHO & 328'. Pitting to fuze cap. Overall in good condition. Inert. £50 - £60 1065 Rare P07 Bayonet made by Remington in July 1915 inspection marks to ricasso. Decent blade 17" with rust staining. Ricasso clearly stamped '1907' & '7:15' Pommel stamped '9 .15.' & '13 DL' & '562' (13/DLI served in 68th Bde. 23rd Div. in France 26.8.15 to 13.11.17. Then to Italy & back to France 14.9.18 with 25 Div) With its original 1914 Pattern Leather frog marked 'HGR 15' (Hepburn Gale & Ross 1915) and its rare original helve carrier & helve (minor repair) Service wear overall but overall good condition. These bayonets with original leather work are rarely found. This bayonet bought at the Lille Braderie 20 years ago. £200 - £220 1066 Rare P07 SMLE bayonet with hooked quillon by rare maker Mole. In its steel mounted leather MK1 scabbard with integral button chape. Clean straight blade 17". Ricasso with ER Cypher and dated '12.08' reinspected 1909 & 1911. Pommel stamped with regimental markings '2 Y & L.' (2nd Bn York & Lancaster R.). The Battalion served in France with the 6th Div. from 9.9.14 & fought on the Aisne in 1914, Hooge Ypres 1915 and on the Somme 1916. With service wear overall but in good clean condition with clear markings. Scabbard leather & stitching good stamped 'HGR' 09' with W/D arrow and inspection marks. £350 - £400
