45 1089 Trench art German case 27" high, beautifully decorated with the R.E. badge, Roses, & decorations & '1915-19. 115th Fd Coy RE' & 'France & Belgium, Egypt & Palestine' & 'Jerusalem'. 115 Coy was a railway construction Coy who went to Egypt in Dec 1915, serving under GHQ Palestine. A superb example of Trench art. Shell base dated 'Oct 1916' & Polte Magdeburg'. £25 - £25 1090 Trench art shell case from a British 18 pounder dated 1916 profusely stamped. Shell case body engraved 'Souvenir of 337 P.O.W.C.' (Prisoner of War Camp). Floral decoration including daisies around rim. No scabbard. The whole in fine condition dated 1864 for the U.S. Civil War. £90 - £100 1095 U.S Model 1905 bayonet for the M 1903 Springfield Rifle, Blued blade 15.75" Ricasso marked 'U.S. & 523813' and 'SA1912' Crossguard with locking catch which engages with catch on US marked scabbard throat. U.S. WW1 belt hook. Some wear to scabbard. A good WW1 example. Grip stamped '101' £80 - £85 1096 U.S. American Civil War Model 1860 Cavalry troopers sword. Curved S/E fullered blade 35". Ricasso marked 'U.S.' 'CEW' (Govt. Charles E. Wilson inspectors mark) and dated 1862. Reverse ricasso with makers mark: D. J. Millard Clayville. One of 10,001 swords made for the U.S. Government in 1862 by this firm. Brass Pommel (Top marked C.E.W.) with triple bar brass guard. Leather ribbed grip. Brass & metal work with a pleasing age patina. Early original 1862 Civil War sword. Scabbard unmarked with 2 heavy rings £250 - £300 1097 U.S. bayonet for the MI Garand (US Model 1905 E1) Ricasso marked 'LO, U.S'. with Springfield Grenade and dated 1943. Excellent blade 24.5 cm. In its green plastic scabbard marked 'VP II'. Throat with flaming grenade marked 'U.S.' In collectors grade condition. £80 - £85 1098 Very good and interesting P56 bayonet. Blade 22.75". Ricasso marked 'Chavasse'. These bayonets were supplied to America for use in the Civil War. The middle man was Caleb Huse who wanted them for the Naval Rifle. The ship carrying the load went down bankrupting Chavasse. However many were salvaged and used in the Civil War. This is a very good example with excellent blade, grips & working press stud. It is in its leather scabbard with steel locket and oval frog stud. However the chape is missing exposing 4.75" of the blade and half the stitching is a/f. Black 'S' stencilled to shell body. Appears unfired example with 80% original paint.
