123 1326 John Arnold, Tricyclist / Cyclist interest. A collection of thirty medal fobs awarded to J. F. Arnold (including eighteen silver & enamel fobs), circa 1940s-90s, together with a group of other items, including an original black & white photograph depicting Arnold & Crimes (?) racing there tandem tricycle; a silver gilt fob awarded to K. Rayton in 1966; a book entitled 'A Wheel in Two Worlds, The Ron Kitching Story, inscribed to front free endpaper 'To John, With best wishes, Ron Kitching' (Arnold's own copy); two other cycling related books; two cycling pin badges etc., John Arnold was a legend & record breaker in the sport of tandem tricycle racing. He and his partner (A Crimes) still hold several world records which they set in the 1950s, including fastest Lands end to John O Groats; fastest London to Liverpool & fastest Liverpool to Edinburgh.
