5 44 Airship interest. Fine detailed metal model of the R100 tethered to a mooring mast set within a recessed frame. Believed to have been fabricated from metal from the actual airship. The frame is 15x10 inches. £50 - £60 45 Airship interest. Large and original press photo of the crew of the R100 being congratulated by Lord Thomson on their arrival back at Cardington after the flight to Canada on the 16 Aug. 1930. Most of the crew are clearly identifiable in this photograph. This dated on the reverse 18th Aug. 1930. The photograph being 12 x 10 inches. £20 - £30 46 Airship interest. Rare and original piece of the outer skin of the R33 when it broke from its moorings at Pulham in 1925 resulting in gallantry awards and gold watches being awarded to members of the crew. Pathe News footage exists of this famous event and records the moment the R33 limped back to Pulham with the front of the airship badly damaged and collapsed. The fabric still retains its silver outer covering. This is approx 13.5 inches by 7.5inches. £100 - £120 47 Airship interest. Rare souvenir framed photograph of the R100 trip to Canada. The photograph is titled and stamped 'From St Hubert Airport, Montreal to Cardington England Aug. 13 1930. Airship R100 GFAAV'. The photograph being an aerial shot taken above the R100 whilst it was in flight. The border to this photograph is signed by the R100 Captain R S Booth AFC along with Lt commander Sir C Dennistoun Burney, Wing Commander R.B.B. Colmore OBE and Major G Herbert Scott OBE AFC. The frame is 20in. x 21.5in. with the photo being 12 x 9 inches. Ex Kirch collection Wallis and Wallis 2012, Lot 563. £100 - £120 48 Airship interest. Very rare and original piece of the outer skin of the R100 relating to its historic trip to Canada when it needed repairing on its flight there. This repair took place when the airship was damaged while proceeding up the St Lawrence. The actual fabric is signed by T Hobbs a coxswain on the crew. The fabric still retains its silver covered outing.
