Rare and important flag fragment 'belonged to the army of Richard III, taken at the battle of
Bosworth', the large fragment is a rectangular piece from a stained double sided pennon, with a swag
decoration and wool fringe to one side, the fragment has an early note attached stating 'Part of one of
the colours which belonged to army of Richard 3rd, it was taken at the battle of bosworth field', the
fragmant has been with Prof Maria Hayward and a report of the fragment is with the lot, 89cm Long,
23cm high.
