Scarce 1st day cover of the 6th Airborne Divisions
Assault into Normandy, 40th anniversary. On the back is
written 'This cover is one of a limited edition of five
hundred signed by the four 1944 Brigade Commanders
of the 6th Airborne Division. A second 1st day cover
NOT one of the limited edition. Both addressed to
'Philatelic Officer PCD. R.E. Inglis Barracks' Contained
in a BFPO envelope postal 13.6.1984, 30 sundry

Scarce ORIGINAL Canadian Special Forces 'OSENS'
WW2 badge. Stanley Taylor was attached to the
Canadians as a signaller for a special operation. His
daughter believes only 83 men jumped, with only 3
including her father escaped capture or death.

Scarce original NAZI WW2 Kriegsmarine Battleflag. A
war trophy taken by Sgt Stanley Taylor when serving
with the 7th L.I. Bn. The Parachute Regt during the
Normandy Operations at Ouistrelham 5th - 20th June
1944, seam stamped 'L.O.H. KR - FL, 100 X 170' Flag
measures approx 61" by 37" inches. Shows wear to one
edge from flying. Contained in its contemporary,
waterproof pouch. Overall good condition.

Manufactured 1861-1865 totals 100,000. Lock marked
'U.S. COLT'S Pt F.A. Mfg Co HARTFORD Ci' and
dated 1863. .58 calibre musket made on government
contract for issue in the Civil War. U.S. eagle marked to
nipple holster. Walnut stock with 5" crack on left hand
side. Barrel 40" secured by 3 barrel bands. V rearsight
missing . With original steel tulip ramrod. Worn overall
with some pitting. Action A.F.

launcher. Tube side sections cut out for instruction
purposes. No licence required.

An outstanding four barrelled pepperbox revolver of
approx .45 calibre. Pistol made circa 1845 by William
Needler of 15 Scale Lane, Hull, Yorkshire. Four 3"
barrels with post 1813 proof marks. Double action with
snap hammer and sliding safety. Left action panel finely
engraved 'William Needler' amid acanthus scrolling.
Right hand panel engraved 'HULL' with acanthus
scrolling. Finely chequered grips with finely engraved
and stepped butt plate. Round trigger guard with
acanthus decoration. Pistol retains virtually all blued
finish and has never been fired. Contained in its original,
hand made, felt lined case with original accessories
comprising: A quality small bag shaped pistol flask by
Sykes. An ebony handled nipple wrench. A steel bullet
mould marked 'No 52' (52 bore). Three original tins of
percussion caps (F.JOYCE & ELEY BROS), Lidded
compartment containing lead bullets. (no key for case)
