c.780-c.793A.D., wt. 1.2g., Portrait right type, Spink 906,
obverse reads:- +OEFA REX followed by a space filling
symbol of square charactor with salitre centre?, the 'E' in
Offa's name is clearly that, reverse legend is retrograde
and with some letters upsidedown and reads:-
EADRERHT, moneyer Eadberht, reverse design is as
Chick, Type 163 but with no pellets in the quarters of the
reverse central cross, said to have been found in North
Essex, reverse slightly off centre, surfaces look to place it
as a metal detector find, rare, GF/NVF
