Pocketwatch by Pinnacle in original box,
engraved on back 'HB 1899-1956 RCN',
this watch belonged to Harry Berry a
member of a Waldringfield family of 14,
born deaf, he could not speak, read or
write, he worked at the nursery of John
Woods of Woodbridge. Taken over by
R.C.Notcutt in 1897 he was alllowed to
stay on for a week, without pay to prove
he was employable, he finished 70 years
later as an expert 'plant surgeon'. Sold
with paperwork and photos.
