Tun 1636-1638, Group D type 3a no inner circles, rare bust variety, large crude bust, Sharp E4/2, Spink 2792 [a], rare bust, not represented in Brooker, F/VF £70 - £90 1165 Chinese cash, Han, Northern Sung and later, unsorted, 6 large, 11 small, in total 17 £40 - £45 1166 Claudius billon tetradrachm of Alexandria, Egypt of regnal year 4 = 44-45 A.D., reverse:- Messalina standing left, holding two small figures [Britannicus and Octavia?] and extendedright hand, Sear 1869, VF £70 - £80 1167 Claudius copper as, Rome Mint 42 A.D., obverse legend type L, ie TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP P P, Bare headed bust, left, reverse:- Constantia, helmeted, standing left, right hand raised, holding long sceptre in left, CONSTANTIAE AVGVSTI S C, with one very old pen and ink ticket and two continental auction tickets Romische Munzen Sammlung Dr. Neussel, NR 444 and Munzenhundlung Erich Mozelt, even black-green patina, rugged portrait, a good central strike, reverse unusually well struck up, GVF/EF £300 - £350 1168 Cnut silver penny, Quatrefoil Type, Spink 1157, obverse reads:- CNVT REX ANGLOX ['O' has central pellet], reverse reads:- +EDMVND ON NOR [The first 'O' is actually of 'horseshoe' form, there is a die-sinker fault in the first quarter where he initially cut the top segment of the quatrefoil in the wrong position, this reverse die being very new and still exhibiting stratifications across its field. The cataloguer knows of 13 others but again none from this pair of dies. Almost certainly from the 'Cambridge Hoard', full, round, as struck Mint State. £380 - £420 1169 Cnut silver penny, Quatrefoil Type, Spink 1157, obverse reads:- +CNUT REX ANGLOR, reverse reads:- +ZPRVNT ON DEO [first 'N's second upright is the central cross, 'D' with thorn], there is an extra pellet in the second quarter of the reverse, under the 'Z', Thetford Mint, moneyer Sprunt. The cataloguer knows of 24 others this type, this mint but none from these dies. Almost certainly from the 'Cambridge Hoard', lightly crinkled, full, round, well centred, as struck £340 - £380 1170 Commodus silver denarius, Rome Mint 184 A.D., reverse:- Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and cornucopiae, Sear 5689, nice portrait, good metal, NEF £60 - £70 1171 Constantus II silver reduced siliqua, Constantia/Arles Mint 357-361 A.D., reverse reads:- VOTIS XXX MVLTIS XXXX, in exergue PCON, Sear 17951, irregular flan, VF/GVF £60 - £70 1172 Crispina, dupondius or as, Rome Mint 180-182 A.D., reverse:- Hilaritas standing left, holding long palm and corucopiae, Sear 6016, hard, even dark green patina, well centred and struck, nice portrait, GVF £120 - £140
