One of the few bodies recovered from this disastrous action, he now lies in CWGC Pozieres British Cemetery. Medals EF on original silk ribbons. Crown of Edward VII to ricasso. W/D arrow, bend test & 3 inspection marks to reverse. Excellent straight blade 17". Blued mounts & ricasso. Excellent dark walnut grips. Scabbard marked 'AC' and '10'. Issued prior to WW1 probably to 2nd Bn. who were at Mons, Maine, Aisne, La Barrel, Nonne Broschen and 1st Ypres in 1914.
