Clipped back, broad Bowie blade 8" with presentation inscription: 'Presented with gratitude to Captain C.G. Blacket: Comstock Mines. Virginia City. Nevada 1864. Blade in g.c. with some age staining no rust or nicks. Crossguard with simple decoration and down swept quillons. Antler grip with disc pommel with rose and hatching decoration. Ticket included states: 'Captain C.G. Blacket 1829-1881. Union Army'. Contained in a fitted knife case. *Note The Comstock Lode was Americas biggest ever silver discovery yielding $300 million of silver. It was found in 1859. £400 - £500 947 Knife: a post WW2 3rd Pattern F.S. Knife. Cross guard stamped Rodgers, Sheffield, England. Inspection mark to grip. Blade 7". In its leather scabbard with brass chape. A decent original example of this 1950s model. £50 - £55 948 Knife: an early British Wilkinson sword type Model 'D' survival knife: Broad heavy blade 7". In an unusual heavy leather scabbard of contoured shape. An attractive untouched example circa 1940s, 1950s. Musket bore .76 (11 bore) Barrel 33 (rear sight missing) Lock unevenly marked 'Brunswick 1745' barrel stamped 136/89. Polished hardwood stock (some distressing) Steel ramrod, brass furniture. Good working order. Probably a composite piece. Sold as Seen £80 - £85 952 Pattern 1853 Socket Bayonet, blade 17". Ricasso marked 'WD' with inspection stamp and 'P'. In its brass mounted leather scabbard marked 'WD' (Scabbard a later Indian made example with M/H type locker) Good condition overall. Locking ring present £35 - £40 953 Percussion cap pistol, possible conversion piece, chequered grips, screw off barrel (18cm total length) £80 - £100 954 Pistols: a good pair of Queen Anne cannon barrelled travelling pistols converted to drum & nipple percussion ignition from flintlock circa 1830. Breech section with stand of Arms & 'Griffin & Tow' & 'London'. Tapered barrels 7" with turn off lug beneath. Silver furniture. Stand of Arms side plates & escutcheon (with owners initials), gargoyle buttcaps. British view & proof marks. In a later fitted case. Originally made for a military officer (?).One pistol is in VGC. The other one has a repair to the buttstock. Both actions in working order. Pistol 1 in v.g.w.o. Pistol 2 action stiff but still g.w.o. Case lacks key. (2) £1100 - £1200 955 Pistol: an Eastern flintlock belt pistol of ornate form. Part octagonal/part round barrel 12" with some simple decoration. Ornately carved stock (some repair work around the buttcap extension) Ornate brass furniture. Bulbous buttcap - to end of extension. Attractively engraved lock with swan neck cock/top jaw missing. Action a/f. Ramrod tip & end section missing. Approx 16 bore. £90 - £100 956 Pistol: a drum & nipple conversion of a Queen Anne cannon barrelled, turn off, percussion boxlock pocket/belt pistol. Barrel 8". Converted from flintlock circa 1840. Originally made circa 1760-1780. Silver buttcap with grotesque gargoyle face. Silver dragon sideplate and escutcheon unmarked bar proof marks. A decent example of these Queen Anne Cannon barrelled pistols. Approx 16 bore. Action crisp on 1st & 2nd cock. £340 - £360
