(John Sutter of Liverpool) Chester, 1851 engraved early fire engine on one side. Other side reads "Presented by the Officers of the Liverpool Fire Brigade to Mr. Supt. Hewitt, as a token of their esteem & regard for his kindness & urbanity towards them on many trying occasions during the performance of his most arduous duties for a period of 17 years and also in saving the lives of 4 firemen at the great risk of his own Oct. 9th 1851". Measures 74mm in diameter. Weighs, with ribbon 87.3gms - just under 3 ounces.
