Interesting composite 1912 Pattern Infantry officers
sword. The sheet bowl guard has been replaced by a
triple bar 1821 Pattern guard. Wirebound fish skin grip
(some wear). Good blade 34.75". Marked on the top
blade flat 'London made' and with the serial number
57060. Ricasso with the address 'Henry Wilkinson. Pall
Mall London'. The serial number indicates the sword
was made in 1919. Blade etched with 'Geo V Cypher'. In
its leather field service scabbard with silver (?) chape.
Complete with leather sword frog. Vendor states unique
sword to mayor W.E. CARVER 10th R.HRS.

quillion, square pommel. Fullered blade 15.5". With its
steel scabbard (some surface rust) and leather frog
(retaining strap broken)

Japanese WW2 Army Officers Sword, Signed (MEI)
Nakago. Brown silk bound Tsuka (shows service handling
wear). Rayskin same with Menuki (5 petal Japanese
cherry blossom one each side) steel Mekugi. Solid Tsuba.
Copper Fuchi. This is a classic Type 98 Shin-Gunto with
a good 27" blade in its brown painted steel scabbard with
single ASHI. Sword dates c1939 and has seen service use
in original condition.

tsuba. Skin bound rayskin hilt showing heavy service
handling wear. Two MENUKI. In its leather field service
scabbard. Single ASHI. Clearly a WW2 war trophy
which has every appearance of a long hard service in the
field.

Japanese WW2 Type 95 Army Sword for NCOs. Cast
metal handle (aluminium) Fuchi stamped with the Gifu
logo, Nagoya Inspection mark and Kokurs arsenal
identification stamp. A Nagoya sword produced under
Kokura administration. Blade numbered 46317.
Scabbard throat marked 46317 matching. Blade 28"
(some edge nicks and staining). Pierced TSUBA. Single
Asti. In its leather covered metal scabbard (some crazing
to leather). Sword shows light service wear overall.
Associated with this sword is a form JAPANESE
TROPHIES' originated by S.E.A.C./SIAM. It
authorises No. 11424436 Bdt. Whatmore W.E.33 Liason
Staff 'C' to be in possession of a Japanese sword under
Corps letter No. 190/1/A1 of 24.10.45 governing the
provision of Japanese Trophies for those who took part in
the reoccupation of Malaya. plus a photo of Bdt
Whatmore. A collectors lot.

curved blade 36 inches (stained, tip rounded), stamped
with the makers Beehive logo of Samuel Hoppe who
manufactured Swords between 1827 and 1885. Pierced
iron bowl guard with ribbed grip, in its steel scabbard
with 2x suspension rings. light pitting, wire missing from
grip. Overall sound condition
