1914 Star Trio to Private John Warr 1st (formerly

2nd) Bn. Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action 1st July

1916, First Day Battle of The Somme. From the

sunken road the battalion attacked towards the

German front-line at Beaumont Hamel - cut down by

heavy machine-gun fire. Casualties - 486. No known

grave. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial.

Entitled to clasp. Copied research. Medals GVF.
