45 958 Rifle: a Model 1819 Hall U.S. Breech loading flintlock rifle made by the Harper Ferry Armoury under John H. Hall's Patent. One of 20,000 manufactured .52 cal. rifled barrel. 32" to start of breech section. Centrally mounted ring necked cock. Block marked 'MS' and 'J.H.Hall. H. Ferry. U.S. 1831'. Lever situated forward of the T/Guard releases the block and lock upwards for loading. Iron mounts. Steel ramrod. Walnut stock. This rifle is in 2nd Model Range SN: 1826-1838. In good working order and condition (lock is fully tested and is in v.g.w.o..
