Group 2, Type 2B, wt. 13.9g., mm. Lion, obverse reads:-
FRAN.ET.HIB., Equestrian figure [tail between hind
legs], EBOR below horse, pellet stops, sword hilt intact,
reverse:- Oval shield, garnished with lion's skin, topped
by crown, unjewelled, frosted, by punch, as is garniture,
tiny letter 'E' on its back by crown at beginning of legend,
see BNJ Vol.54, 1984, p.225, Spink under 2869, Ex.
Beachamp Coins and with two old tickets, full and
round, very light marks in upper obverse field, GVF/EF
