Carbine: A flintlock carbine circa 1810. The pattern is that of a Paget

Volunteer carbine. Barrel 16''. Dovetailed foresight missing. Two standard

proofs to barrel. Brass furniture. Square barrel tang with deep 'V' sight.

Stepped and bolted lock (bolt missing) Ring neck cock. Lock marked

''Warranted'' Lock in good crisp working order on 1st and 2nd cock. Fine

walnut stock. Captive swivel rammer. Calibre 66''. Recurved saddlebar

secured by two clips. An attractive and scarce Napoleonic wars carbine in

V.G.W.O and condition. A collectors lot.

''VR'' at the tail and ''1857 & Tower'' at

Dirk: A Naval type dirk, blade 16" with central fuller.

Ivory or bone grip with brass crossguard. In its brass

mounted leather scabbard. Late 19th century? No

markings, indifferent quality. Overall sound

condition.

Dirk: An interesting small Naval Dirk circa 1800.

Slim curved blade circa 10'' with blued gilt

decoration. Ribbed ivory grip (small chip to base of

R.H. grip) Gilt backstrap with horse head finial.

Crossguard in brass gilt with acorn finials, one linked

to horses mouth by a thin chain. In its decorated gilt

brass scabbard. This is a collectors lot. These small

dirks were popular, worn with dress uniform in

Nelson's Navy. In VG overall condition (grip strap a

little loose) a ''sleeper'' Viewing recommended

New Land Pattern. Damascus barrel 9'' with 'V' sight

to the rear. Engraved bolted lock by 'James'. Ring

neck pierced hammed with acanthus engraving.

Rainproof pan with roller frizzen. Brass furniture,

engraved trigger guard with acorn finial. Captive

steel rammer. Good walnut stock with chequered

grip. Lock in crisp working order and good condition.

Silver escutcheon to grip. The whole in collectors

grade condition.
