Large and heavy Memorial to The West Yorkshire
Regiment on five brass panels which form a Roll of All
The Officers and Men of the 1st Volunteer Bn of the West
Yorkshire Regt who served in South Africa during The
Boer War 1899-1902. These include the 1st and 2nd
Service Corps Imperial Yeomanry and those serving with
other corps. The names are inscribed into the brass as are
regimental badges using red and black enamel. Each of
the four panels measure 920 x 920 and the top panel 1420
x 830. This memorial was originally displayed in The
Regimental Depot . When the depot closed it was then in
the possession of the Regimental Museum and disposed
of when the museum was reorganised. This memorial
demands a permanent home (Very heavy, buyer Must
