Japanese WW2 Shin-gunto Type 98 sword. Blade 27.5".

HABAKI numbered '18956'. Brown hilt binding with

MENUKI (2). In its metal scabbard with single ashti (top

quarter only painted brown, rest bare metal). Covered in

a thin leather case with 3 wrap around studs. The whole

in generally good condition with some wear. Complete

with brown tassel. Scabbard of Ro-iro lacquer (black)

with an ishine surface (stone texture). Scabbard Mon in

ro-iro. of the Toki branch of the Satsuma family. Blade

21.75" (some nicks). Interesting sword. Viewing is

essential. In good overall condition for age however there

are several nicks to the blade. Scabbard fractured near

top. a/f

blade 23". Brown tape wound over wood grip. Two brass

(?) Menuki plain mounts & tsuba. A basic sword in its

leather covered wooden scabbard. Handling wear to grip

tape.

with two skinning knives. Horn grips, polished steel blade.

Knife: An interesting and old Japanese (?) knife/dagger.

Ornate carved wooden grip with Dragon's Head pommel

(minor loss to rear of head) Drooping dragon (or fish)

quillons. Straight animal cross guard (one bar broken off).

Triangular Langets with brass (gold?) chasing curved

blade 13.5" (worn and pitted) No scabbard. This is an

interesting artefact of some age 18th/19th century or

earlier?) Requires further research. A collectors lot.

Knife: An interesting knife/Dirk of some age. Circular

guard with straight quillons & round finials. Curved D/E

blade with narrow fullers, 10". Horn grip, plain steel

pommel unmarked. Sold with a 1950s sheath knife (bent

quillon). Viewing recommended. (2)

scabbard with web frog. 2) Fighting knife made from a

octagonal barrel 4". Plain lock works on second cock only.

Plain bag shaped grip. In sound condition overall with no

rust or corrosion. Barrel unscrews.

London. Turn off barrel 1.5". Concealed trigger. Sliding

safety, chequered walnut grip with escutcheon engraving

to lock panel. Lock a/f (should be easily repairable) A

high quality small pocket pistol.

Pistol: A New Land Pattern flintlock pistol with New

Land lock. Tail marked 'Tower' and 'G.R.' under Crown

& inspection mark crown over '2'. Heavy brass buttcap,

Brass T/Gd with acorn finial. Steel belt clip with crown

stamp. Lovely walnut stock with light bruising. Barrel 9"

with crown to breech. Ring necked cock. Crisp, action on

first & second cock. Pistol possibly for ships service. A

collectors lot in collectors condition. Superb piece

Pistol: An Eastern flintlock holster pistol of some age.

Plain flint lock circa 1800, barrel 12.5" retained by a

central brass band. Heavy 'skull crusher' buttcap in the

Turkish style. Ornate sideplate. The pistol is well worn

but complete. Action is a/f but mainspring still working.
