Dagger: A fine & scarce Sudanese arm dagger. Straight
double edged fullered blade 7" with four armourers
marks to ricasso (These are rectangles with a notch cut
into one side). Solid wood hilt with circular disc pommel
(minor loss to rim). In its lacquered leather and snake
skin scabbard with braided arm loop. Circa 19th century.
VGC for age. A collector's lot.

with logo 'TOYE & Co Ltd LONDON'. Brass mounts
with skull pommel and crossed bones crosspiece. Black
painted, twisted wooden grip with twist wire decoration.
In its brass mounted leather scabbard. Good overall
condition - some wear to grip.

Early Webley Junior .177 air pistol. All metal
construction with slanting ribbed grips. Left side 'The
Webley Junior .177'. Patented in Great Britain No
219372. Fixed rear sight, sliding barrel catch, no safety,
smoothbore 6.5 barrel for darts. SN J-7081
manufactured circa 1929-1938. In working order. This is
the 1st model in the Webley Junior series and Rare.
Finish worn and dark patina but no pitting.

Eprouvette: A boxlock flintlock powder tester Eprouvette
by Hobday Biddle & Co. (Hobday & Biddle Weaman
Street, Birmingham). Brass framed, panel signed
'HOBDAY BIDDLE & Co'. Of fine quality. Overall
length 7". Ring neck cock, graduated wheel in 8
graduated sections. Tension sprung frizzle, plain bag
shaped walnut grips. Circa 1800. Note: These machines
tested the strength of gunpowder. A measure of powder
was poured in to chamber followed by a standard
measure of shot. The device was fired and the distance
covered by the shot was measured and the strength of the
powder was gauged. This is a superb piece in outstanding
condition. In full working order. (Please don't cock &
fore. This piece has been tested by our expert and is in
v.g.w order). A lot for the connoisseur.

Extremely interesting French 17th century 'PARTIZAN' polearm. Classic leaf
shaped blade 10" with recurring hook designs and central spine. Mounted on an
iron shaft (25") with iron ball finial. This of some age with light rusting and pitting.
If original circa 1700 (could be a Victorian copy?). An unusual weapon, viewing
recommended. a/f

Gravity knife, grip marked 'BW' with lanyard, a post war
F/S knife by Nowill & Sons in its leather scabbard, an
improvised WW2 fighting knife with brass knuckle guard.
Leather washer grip, double edged blade, in its leather &
web scabbard & lanyard (interesting piece). An

French Model 1874 Gras bayonet No.65224 in its
matching (65224) steel scabbard which retains most of its
original blued finish. Made at Tulle in Nov. 1881.

French Model 1874 Gras rifle made at St Etienne in
1877. This rifle has a 26" barrel and the marking 'M80'
which designates it as a musketoon. Straight bolt with
knurled handle (heavy pitting and from a different rifle)
Steel furniture (should be brass) from an 1874 rifle. Rear
sight is missing. Stock with some filler and unofficial steel
studs along the wrist and comb. Overall in good
condition and working order (action stiff). Obsolete
calibre, no licence required.
