cards signed by Maxse. One dated: '1st July 1916 Battle

of the Somme' the other: 28/29th September (MID)

showing service in R.O.D.- R.E. (Railway Operating

Division) MM awarded for Gallantry on July 1st 1916

during the attack of the 53rd Bde. 18th Div. South West

these two plus mic. MM awarded for a minor action;

trench raid etc, in April/May 1918. A good double

gallantry group to the 9/th Norfolk.
