Hesselden RAF, POW No 161, held at Dulag Luft

Frankfurt, Stalag Luft 3, 1, 6, 4, and 357 finally liberated

16th April 1945 by the 8th Hussars, 7th Army Division.

The lot includes 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star,

War Medal with matching miniatures. Plus Bomber

Command Medal No62. A well filled out Wartime Log

for British Prisoner YMCA gift book. Pre War Pilots Log

Book. His Original Caterpillar Club membership Card

and Gold Caterpillar. Book 'Bomber Offensive by Arthur

Harris, this with personal hand written note 'Signed for F

J A Hesselden who as a Warrant Officer Air Gunner &

ex POW did more than his share Arthur T. Harris

Royal Humane Society Medal (small bronze) named

Harold. F. Kemp. Aug 11. 1902. Case 32308 'Harold

Hughes, while fishing at Hilbre Island off West Kirby, fell

from the cliff into the sea, 18 feet below. The tide was

running in with great force at the time. Kemp, at great

risk, jumped from the cliff and swam with him about 40

yards to where a landing could be effected'. Suspender
