Caligula, brass sestertius 'Rome Mint 37-38 A.D.', Sear

and depicts Caligula's three, standing sisters as Securitas,
Concordia and Fortuna. We feel the fabric of the flan of
this piece to be incorrect and is possibly a very old copy,
perhaps late mediaeval or even earlier, the old greenish
patina is worn through but the reverse design is too
shallow, the edges too round but still an interesting and
historical piece. More evidence of age is the old pen and
ink
