grips (minor loss to l.h. side). Simple Acanthus engraving

to lock plates and tang. Calibre approx .45. Worn overall

12 bore. Short captive rammer 'Old Series' sidelock.

Action in w.o. (mainspring weak) Lock spuriously

Star' in v.g.w.o. & condition. Dates 1950s-60s (?) in a

Sussex Armoury shoulder holster. With several items of

leatherwear.

AN IX/XIII type. Barrel 8" half- stock. Brass furniture.

Stock fractured & repaired (no losses) Ring neck cock.

Action crisp. Clean bore. Mismatched ramrod. Lock with

circular makers (?) stamp. Inspector stamps to brass

furniture. Nice looking gun. Viewing recommended.

Pistol: A good quality percussion target/duelling pistol.

Octagonal barrel 9". Back action lock with sculpted

hammer, both with Acanthus engraving. Two piece rear

sight. Steel ramrod. Walnut stock with silver wire

decoration. Pistol dates 1840s and is an extremely well

made piece. No makers details. Either of English or

Belgian manufacture. Calibre approx .51. No licence

required.

pistol approx 20 bore. This type of pistol made circa

1810. No ramrod. Lock works on 1st & 2nd cock. Barrel

4" with canon muzzle. Brass sideplate.

Worn but sound condition overall. No licence required.

action. percussion revolver circa 1840. Calibre .45.

Octagonal barrel 5.75". Two piece chequered walnut

grips (L./hand grip repaired). Open frame Acanthus

scrolling to action. Dark patina overall. Good working

order and condition. Unmarked but likely English made

. A scarce piece.

Revolver: A .25 Calibre pinfire 6 shot pocket revolver.

Sidegate loading & side ejector rod. Two piece walnut

grips. Folding trigger (return spring a/f) In working order.

Probably Belgian circa 1860-70. Barrel 3.5. Nice

complete pocket.

Revolver: Marlin XXX standard 1872 pocket revolver.

Cal .30 rimfire. Round barrel 3". Brass frame with spur

trigger 5 shot cylinder (long fluted). Approx 15,000

manufactured. Single action. Good working order.

Nicely patinated condition. Good gutta percha grips with

handling wear. Nice example of this pocket revolver

dating 1874-1876. (obsolete no certificate required)

Rifle: A Flintlock 'Baker' Rifle of Indian Origin. This rifle

looks to be an Indian Brunswick percussion rifle with a

trade, ring neck cock. Flintlock replacing the percussion

lock (?). Barrel 28". Two leaf folding sights proof marks.

Brass furniture. Walnut stock (with major crack which has

been glued) Some filler work. Lock in working order,

mainspring very weak. Large brass patchbox to butts.

Worn overall. A composite piece. sold a/f

Rifle: A shortened P53 Enfield Rifle for India. Lock with

crown and 'Tower 1872'. Barrel cut down to 24". Rifle

rear sight. Two barrel bands. Traces of proof marks.

Nipple missing, brass furniture, steel ramrod. Shortened

walnut full stock. Action in good working order and

condition.

Rifle: An interesting Boer War single shot .577/450

calibre Westley Richards Martini Patent rifle. Barrel 32"

marked 'Westley Richards' & 'Henry Rifling'. Formerly

the property of a Boer Commando (name removed from

stock) Left side of action marked 'OVS2603' showing the

rifle was supplied to the Orange Free State Boers. These

were known as the £4 rifle. All Boers were required by

law to arm themselves and sold the rifles to the Boers. The

rifle is dated 1896 on the Knox form. This is most likely

a captured Boer rifle. Stock forend has been shortened by

the original owner to half-stock. In w/order and in sound

condition showing service wear.

scabbard. Blade stamped '1917' and with a makers

symbol ? on side, and stamped with Cyrillic letters to the

sight. Polished walnut (?) stock (old fracture to wrist repaired) cheek piece with inscription in the wood 'Isaac Carter, Grange Farm,

Tillingham. 1840'. Lock marked 'J.O'Brien'. Ramrod a modern replacement (too short) In good working order and condition.

Hammers possibly replaced. Nice piece
