to 'R. Hannaford Coldm. Gds'. 3940 Pte. R. Hannaford
was born at Haberton, Devon. Enlisted in 13/04/1852
and his Trade was Labourer, the Roll states he was Killed
in Action at the Battle of Little Inkermann 05/11/1854
and reported in London Gazette 11/12/1854. Trace of
mount marks to lower reverse but naming unaffected.
