Large & impressive Chinese Broadsword 'DAO' Heavy broad single edged blade 34"
with narrow fuller to back edge. Circular iron two handed grip 7.5" bound with green
cord. Hand forged 'BUN' pommel. Large diameter cupped disc guard (The guard was
cupped to prevent blood running down the blade and onto the grip, and to save
rainwater entering the scabbard) Sword is 19th century or possibly earlier. Blacksmith
made. Dark patina to hilt and blade stained but not pitted. Back edge of blade is
sharpened 12" from tip. NO SCABBARD. This sword is a collector's lot in excellent
untouched condition. Possibly used for executions.

overall. No scabbard, and An unmarked small sword,
plain brass guard with bun pommel, plain wood grip,
blade 23"with leather scabbardpossibly associated. (3)

Pattern pistol lock and brass tipped wooden rammer.
Barrel 9". Calibre .65. Lock marked Crown over 'G.R.'
and 'TOWER'. Ring Neck cock. Crisp lock at both first
and second cock. Brass buttcap, walnut stock with top
apron. Flat sideplate. A good example.

proofs to barrel. Brass T/Guard and buttplate walnut
stock with some bruising due to service use. Faint
storekeepers marks to butt, over stamped 'N.S' denoting
'Native Service' in India. Barrel (cal. .577) 39" secured by
3 bands.Metalwork cleaned bright overall. Lock in good
working order andnipple protector on chain.
