Axe: An Indian 'TABARZIN' (saddle axe) typical of

those used by armoured Indian cavalry in the 18th &

19th century. All steel construction. Overall length 25".

Pierced tiger decoration and spike finial to shaft. Nicely

patinated. Possibly a tourist piece but appears to have

some age to it. Viewing recommended, sold as seen.

approx 22". Simple Indian warrior decoration. Vertical

shaft spoke and spike to rear of axe blade. The whole

with light pitting and age patination giving every

appearance of some age. This is a decorative item of

some age. Viewing recommended. Sold as seen.

possibly for volunteers, along with its steel mounted

leather scabbard. (Bayonet will not go fully into the

scabbard). Sound condition with some pitting. 2) A

Pattern 1842 socket bayonet. Some indistinct marks.

Patt MKI* RFI, Nov 1942, in its steel mounted leather

Bayonet: A BAKER rifle bayonet blade 22.5". This 2nd

Pattern was made between 1805-1815. The top of the

blade marked 'OSBORN' in script. Rack number '1' to

pommel. Guard loose, top of bow lacks the usual hump.

Viewing strongly recommended. Sold as seen.

Sawback. Chequered leather grips. Artillery type hilt.

Ricasso marked WD and makers mark 'HP'. VR Cypher

to reverse. Old grease stains to blade. Worn but sound

condition. For the Martini Henry Carbine rifle.

Bayonet: A Pattern 1907 WW1 bayonet for the SMLE

rifle. Ricasso marked 10.18 and 'SANDERSON'. In its

steel mounted leather scabbard with home guard frog.

Overall good condition (minor loss to L.H. grip)

Bayonet: A scarce P07 bayonet with hooked fighting

quillon made at Enfield in April 1912. Bayonet was sold

to Australia in time for the Gallipoli campaign. The

ricasso bears the sold out of service marks and the

crossguard numbers '22323'. Scabbard marked 'NSW' for

New South Wales. The whole in good condition, some

pitting to pommel. Scarce A/F

Bayonet: A scarce P07 bayonet with hooked quillon

made at Enfield in June 1913. Blade 17' in good

condition. Pommel marked '1G.G.' '128' 1st Battalion

Grenadier Guards (could be coldstream). Bayonet would

have been on issue from 1914 to 1916. In its steel

mounted leather scabbard with correct tear drop stud.

The whole in good condition.

Bayonet: A scarce P.07 bayonet with hooked fighting

quillon. Pommel marked 'A-4234' denoting issue to the

Royal Navy, confirmed by the 'N' (Navy) stamp on the

ricasso. Most SMLE rifles issued to the Navy went to

Gallipoli with the RND. The ships used the C.L.L.E. In

its steel mounted leather scabbard with teardrop

scabbard. Bayonet made by Enfield in September 1909.

In good overall condition.

Bayonet: An 1848 Pattern Brunswick sword bayonet.

Blade 21.75". Ricasso marked 'VR' 'Enfield 1838'. Catch

lacks button top. Quillons loose (and appear rather thin).

Marking appears upside down? Worn and stained

overall. Viewing strongly recommended. Sold as seen.

Bayonet: Martini Henry Sawback bayonet blade 26"

with spear point and half fuller. Ricasso with inspection

marks and dated 7/85. With WD mark to reverse. Worn

leather grips with minor losses. Stirrup hilt of Artillery

pattern. No scabbard. Worn overall.

Blunderbuss: A flintlock Blunderbuss lock marked 'W KETLAND &

CO'. Brass barrel 12" marked 'LONDON' and 'L-Y 5960'. Walnut stock

with brass furniture. Brass tipped ramrod. Crisp action. Butt plate with

some dents and marked 'L-Y 5960'. A tidy Blunderbuss in overall good

condition and working order. Circa 1790.
