Pistol: A scarce and interesting combination knife pistol

by Rogers of Sheffield. This pistol was made by James

Rogers of Sheffield circa 1845-1850. Octagonal nickel

silvered brass (?). Barrel 3.5", .30 cal, with English proof

marks. Percussion nipple to rear. Solid hammer, folding

trigger. Penknife blade 3.5" marked 'JAMES ROGERS'

& 'Sheffield'. Another slim blade 2.5" also marked

'JAMES ROGERS SHEFFIELD'. Horn grips. Butt trap

(for balls and caps). Bullet mould, rammer and tweezers

fitted into the butt.

Pistol: A six shot pinfire revolver by LARHANAGA

EIBAR (Spain). Barrel 5", calibre 11mm. Good working

order and condition. Chequered bag shaped grips. Side

gate loading, folding trigger side mounted ejection rod.

No licence required.

frame and cylinder, side gate loading. Good working

order (double action). Bag shaped walnut (?) grip. Belgian

Revolver: A faithful Italian copy of a Colt .36 Navy

revolver. In unfired condition, case hardened frame, one

piece walnut grips, blued finish overall. With deactivated

certificate.

Revolver: A large bore Beaumont Adams percussion

revolver. Frame marked 'ADAMS PATENT No32635 P'

(matching on cylinder). Foliate engraved frame and

barrel. Top of barrel marked 'ALEX THOMPSON

GUNMAKER 16 UNION PLACE. EDINBURGH' and

the owners name 'J.T. WINGATE' engraved on the side

of the barrel. Keris type side rammer. Frame also marked

'LAC' (London Armoury Co.) In working order (double

action). Chequered one piece walnut strip. Slide safety

catch missing. Some pitting to right hand side of frame.

Revolver: A large bore Deane Harding percussion

service revolver circa 1850. Frame marked 'DEANE

HARDING PATENT No 5362L. Top of frame

engraved DEANE & SON LONDON BRIDGE'. A

good chequered walnut grip with silver escutcheons.

Proof marks to barrel and cylinder. Two areas of heavy

pitting to left side of cylinder and barrel. Hammer spur

with small loss. Under lever rammer. This revolver is in

working order but has been badly stored. It is however

an excellent restoration project. a/f

Revolver: A Remington No2 Cal .320 rimfire pocket

revolver. Top barrel flat marked 'REMINGTON &

SONS 1, LION N.Y. PAT. W.S. SMOOT OCT. 21

1873'. Retains all its nickel plated finish, side mounted

ejector rod, barrel 7cms, sheath trigger. Chequered hard

rubber grips. Blade foresight missing. An attractive

revolver in extremely good condition. Obsolete calibre.

contoured target grips. With D/Act certificate. Good

81929 which dates it to 1857. Barrel 7.5" with Rocky

Mountain foresight and clear address 'ADDRESS SAMl

COLT HARTFORD CT'. Frame marked 'COLTS

PATENT'. One piece walnut grips. Brass back strap and

trigger guard. Good working order and condition.

Matching numbers. Muzzle wear. Some areas of light

pitting. The Colt Navy was extensively used with Civil

War and the old west by cowboys, prospectus and

pioneers. An iconic pistol in original condition.
