system. Open frame barrel 4.75" cal, approx 11mm.

Nicely patinated finish. Action works on single action,

foresight missing, some wear to grips, side gate catch

slightly a/f, lanyard ring missing. No licence required.

signed 'RAYS' (?) Roller frizzen raised pan. Large bore.

Barrel 8" with English proofs. Barrel engraved

'LONDON'. Captive rammer, brass furniture. Bag

shaped walnut grip. Simple engraving to lock and trigger

guard. In good condition overall. Hammer screw

missing.

Manufactured by DWM in 1918. Matching numbers

(4006) RH Grip with initials. 'W.S.' carved. Correct

& 'L-H1566' with standard proof marks. Lock marked

'BASS'. Crisp action. Walnut stock (with old repair to

20 bore. A holster pistol possibly for sea service use.

in .455 Eley. S/N dates it to 1916. Barrel with Colts

Hartford CT. address and barrel marked 'New Service

.455 Eley'. Hard rubber grips (no chips). Light areas of

Pistol: A rare and iconic Black Powder .41 (obsolete calibre) Colt single

Action Army Revolver aka 'The Peacemaker'. Barrel 4.75 stamped

'COLTS Pt F.A. MFG. Co. Hartford. CT. USA'. The side of the barrel

marked '.41 COLT'. Frame with patent dates 'PAT SEPT. 19 1871. July

2. 72 JAN. 19. 75.' Original Colt hard rubber grips. Original blued finish

to cylinder and barrel with case hardening to the frame. All screws

immaculate with original finish. Side mounted ejector. Good bore.

GWO. and VG condition. (hard to better!) Sold with a Home Office

letter confirming the revolver qualifies as section 58 (2) of the firearms act

1968 (as amended). A rare opportunity to buy an example of this, the

most famous and iconic, firearm in the world. * Note: viewers please do

NOT dry fire this revolver as it may cause damage . It has been fully

tested and is in very good working order.
