shotgun of approx 28 bore. Long barrel 44" with integral

'V' sight chequered hardwood stock. Plain Enfield style

lock. Works on 1st & 2nd lock. Brass tipped steel ramrod.

Possibly a trade gun for India or America No markings

and in good condition for this type. An excellent wall

hanger.

Sword + Bayonet - An 1845 Pattern Infantry Officers

sword. Brass guard with 'V.R.' Cypher. Folding guard.

Slim single edged blade 32" (tip rounded). Wirebound

fishskin hilt. In grubby but sound condition, no scabbard.

Plus a French Model 1866 Sabre bayonet with the trade

stamp of Weyersberg at the ricasso. No scabbard. Blade

rounded at the tip. (2)

Brass ribbed hilt (28 ribs). Unfullered blade 24" approx

with oval stamp to ricasso. Blade with numerous nicks. 2)

A French Model 1866 Chasspot. No scabbard with

Swords: 1) a (tourist?) quality Spanish Bullfighters sword.

Traditional hilt (quillon broken & present). In its steel

mounted leather scabbard. 2) A good court type sword

by 'T. Guthrie of Cork St. London'. Slim blade 32" with

foliate engraving and a coat of arms. Brass ornate straight

crossguard with clamshell type guard. Wirebound grip

with brass crown shaped pommel. No scabbard. This is,

was, a quality sword in its time. 3) A shortenend

unmarked Dragoon type sabre. Brass triple bar hilt (3)

Sword: A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Troopers Sword.

Excellent fullered broad blade 33" marked with the

Board of Ordnance 'B6O' mark and top of the blade

'WOOLLEY'. Leather wrap grip (wear and minor losses).

Back piece with 'EAR' Good stirrup hilt. In its iron

scabbard (painted black) with medium pitting overall.

Two rings. A good example of this iconic sword with an

above average blade.

Sword: A Dutch 'Heiho' modified 'Kleewang'. Blade 18".

Ricasso marked 'HEMBRUNG'. Originally made for the

Dutch Army by Hembrug and modified when captured

by the Japanese when they took the Dutch East Indies.

Used mainly for clearing brush and jungle. In its leather

scabbard with brass chape. Good all original condition.

sword in its leather field service scabbard. Top of blade

numbered 'M7290'. Finely etched with Crown & Geo V

Cypher. The whole in excellent condition.

sword in its leather field service scabbard with frog strap

(A/F) Blade 34" in good condition marked with the

George VI Cypher and 'Royal Artillery'. Top flat marked

'MADE IN ENGLAND'. Triple bar guard with wire

bound fishskins grip. A good example of this popular

sword.

Sword: A good example XIII Cuitassiels Broadsword

manufactured at KLINGENTHAL in January 1822.

Double fullered blade 38" with French stamps and

makers details in script to top flat. Classic 3 bar hilt and

ribbed grip. In its steel scabbard with two suspension

rings. The whole in collectors grade condition.

Sword: A good Scottish Cross Hilt sword George V

(1910-30) by J.R. GAUNT & SON Ltd. Late Edward

Thurkle London & Birmingham. Square ricasso, double

fullered broadsword blade 33" well etched with thistle

decoration. Wirebound fishskin hilt with bun pommel

(pommel unscrews so that a basket hilt can be

substituted. Straight crossguard with ball finials. In its

leather scabbard with frog loop. (Some losses to leather

near the chape which is missing). This sword was the

property of Chief Constable Sir William Booth Rennie

Morren (see also his medals in this sale)

Sword: A pair of Brass stirrup hilted 'Briquet' side arms

without scabbards. 1) A good example with makers mark

PH & G. and a rack number 'No.56'. There are 26 ribs

on the grip. Blade fullered 26". 2) Unmarked, tip missing.

These are possible early 19th century French Briquets.

hilt with S rivets. In its steel scabbard with two fixed

rings. Light rusting and in good overall condition.

sword. Wirebound fishskin grip. Pierced guard with VR

Cypher makers name 'E. THURKLE' to ricasso. Blade

33" with foliate etching and VR Cypher. In its leather

field service scabbard (worn with some losses). Stitching

split. Worn overall.

Sword: A rare and desirable 1821 Pattern Heavy Cavalry

Troopers sword. Sheet iron guard with engraved border.

Old leather cover inside the bowl. Leather wrap to grip,

complete with no losses. Steel back piece with 'ear'. Blade

36" with fuller and in fine condition with original polish.

In its two ring steel scabbard (lightly pitted overall as is

the bowl guard). A good example of this much sought

after heavy cavalry sword. A collector's lot.
