Nov 1917. Born London, lived Homefield,

Shoeburyness. Buried Gaza War Cemetery. The

Southend Roll of Honour notes that he was KIA at Gaza

on 2/11/1917 aged 22 leading his company in an early

morning attack when he received a bullet to the head.
