Rifle: A German WW2 Nazi marked KAR 98K Service

Rifle. This rifle is an interesting variation in that it is part

of a contract for the Portuguese Government. Due to a

shortage of rifles the majority were diverted to the

Wehrmact. This rifle has the standard German stock and

furniture not the Portuguese. Rifle in good working order

and condition and shows service use consistent with

Wehrmact not Portuguese use. With certificate of

deactivation. A good collectors variant.

made at St Etienne in 1892. Calibre 8mm hebel, 3 shot

magazine. Stock stamped 'JANVIER' 1873 & MA'.

Turned down bolt Barrel 18". Matching numbers. Some

wear & tear. The standard WW1 French Carbine. Good

working order and sound condition (some wear). with

deactivation certificate.

volunteer rifle issued to the Cheshire Rifle Volunteers.

Buttplate engraved '22nd C.R.V. No 29' (also on Tang).

Standard military stock with sold out of service mark.

Lock marked 'VR' and '1858'. Crisp lock on first and

second cock. Light pitting overall. Good walnut stock. In

good working order and condition.

Rifle: A scarce 11mm C. Fire Military Model 1873

Kynoch rifle converted from the French Chasspot to fire

a metallic centre fire round. Barrel 31" with Kynoch's

Acton address. Action flat marked 'KYNOCH'S

PATENT'. Walnut stock secured by two iron bands.

Rearsight. In good overall condition (one swivel a/f,

ramrod tip a/f) and working order. Obsolete calibre, no

certificate required. A collectors lot. (Takes Chasspot &

Gras sword bayonets).

Rifle: A Steyr Danish Cavalry Carbine Model 1888.

Stock stamped 'HEMBRUG 1906'. In good working

order. Stock with a minor crack at breech (no losses,

needs gluing). With certificate of deactivation.

Rifle: A .303 Martini-Enfield carbine made from a

MKIII Martini Henry Rifle. Action marked 'M.G.C.'

(Machine Gun Company/Corps). Most likely issued to

African Troops in German E.Africa. With its 1888

Pattern Bayonet. (No scabbard). The whole in good

working order and condition.

Rifle: A .69 cal French Model 1822-T-bis percussion rifle

(converted from Flintlock). Barrel tang marked '1822-T-

bis' (altered again -bis). These weapons were rifled in .69

cal and shipped to the United States in 1861/2 for use by

both sides in the U.S. Civil War. (190,000 shipped). Brass

furniture. Correct tulip headed ramrod. Polished wood

stock. An attractive rifle from the American Civil War

and rarely found in this condition on the market. Very

good working order and condition. No licence required.

(MKII) converted by Bonehill to .22 and later

deactivated. Original rear sight, full military stock. WD

1895. Stamp on woodwork shows rifle captured by the

German Army in WW1. The front sections of the

woodwork is missing, probably cut to fit in a kitbag.Rifle

in good working order and worn condition. With

mother of pearl. Back action percussion lock (worn).

Barrel 39". Traditional curved buttstock. Working order,

worn but sound condition.

wall hanger. original 19th century iron barrel with later

woodwork stamped '1949'. Generally worn condition. In

Rifle: An interesting Boer War Transvaal Mauser rifle,

serial number 2018 with address 'DEUTSCHE

WAFFEN UND MUNITIONFABRIK BERLIN'. This

rifle was shipped from Hamberg on the 'HERZOG' on

12.5.97 and accepted in Pretoria on 27.7.1897. It was

then sold by the Z.A.R. to a burgher for the sum of £5.2

shillings and used against the British Army during the

Boer War (1899-1902). Some wear overall consistent with

service in the field. A piece of Boer War history.

(information from Boer Rifles & Carbines of the Anglo-

Boer War). With certificate of deactivation.

Rifle: SMLE MKIII 'Peddled Scheme' WW1 service rifle

dated 1918. Appears to have gone to Egypt after the War.

Top woods missing the flanges that go either side of the

rear sight as is common with rifles sold to Eastern

countries. In good working order and sound condition.

Shotgun a flintlock twin barrelled old shotgun, good wall

hanger.

Sidearm: A continental 'Gladius' type sidearm circa early

19th century. Very broad D/E blade with thin central

fuller, 19.5". Heavy brass hilt with 19 bar ribbed grip.

Plain straight crossguard. Breadth of blade at hilt is 2.5".

Not a pattern we have seen before. Viewing

recommended. No scabbard.

Sidearm: A rare Imperial German Model 1911 Boarding

Cutlass. Butcher type blade 17" (longer than the 98/05

bayonet). Ricasso marked 'SIMPSON & Co SUHL'. Top

of blade marked crown over 'M' (Kriegs marine) Only

10,000 made and issued to German Motor torpedo boats

and submarines for boarding parties. Three bar hilt,

wooden grip. Metalwork pitted overall (light to medium)

but cutlass is complete with no losses. No scabbard but

likely kept in a rack. Sound condition but rarely seen.

Sword - a superb Henry Wilkinson Sword No 16237, blade etched with a family

crest for Sir William Ffolkes, 3rd Baronet, and Norfolk Artillery Militia. With

metal scabbard and leather carry case. William was educated at Harrow and

Trinity College Cambridge. He was a Captain in the Norfolk Artillery Militia and

a J.P., and Deputy Lieutenant, High Sheriff of Norfolk 1876. In the 1880 he was

general election he was elected MP for Kings Lynn, awarded the KCVO in 1909.
