Sword - an interesting c19th century Chinese short sword. Curved blade 23, unfullered.

Dragons Head quillons. Carved wood grip with Dragon's Head Pommel (nicely done)

Blade in good condition for age (light rust overall). Single edged with squared ricasso. A

good quality 19th century sword - a 'sleeper'. Viewing recommended

similar to the British 1788 pattern

Sword: A Coastguard/Police pattern sword. Triple bar

hilt, 1853 type diced leather grip with 5 rivets S/E

fullered blade 31" with makers name: 'ROBT MOLE &

SONS, MAKERS, BIRMINGHAM'. In its steel

mounted leather scabbard. Impressive piece in good

condition.

Sword: A French Infantry Gladius pattern Briquette

Pattern 1831 sword called by the soldiers old 'Coupe

Choux' (Cabbage Choppers!) Neo-classical sword. Blade

19". Ricasso marked with oval Crown over reversed 'N'

inspection mark and makers name 'TALABOT PARIS'.

In its brass mounted leather scabbard with rack number

'929'. Clean blade, excellent scabbard, good ribbed brass

grips. Used by the Infantry, Foreign Legion from Louis

Philippe to the Second Empire. It is rare to find these

swords with a scabbard.

Sword: A quality General & Staff Officers sword. In the pattern of the 1796 Heavy Cavalry dress sword. Silver

hallmarked (Birmingham 1826) knucklebow with 'pas-de-ane' rings below. Pipe back blade 31" with typical late 18th

century deep blued decoration and quill point tip. Silver wire bound grip. In its silver hallmarked mounted leather

scabbard (chape leather detached). A good piece for restoration. Old repair to handle noted.

Sword: A scarce 1821 Pattern Light Cavalry troopers sword. Three bar hilt with forward quillon. Backpiece with

'EAR' Ribbed grip (lacks leather cover). In its black painted lightly pitted steel scabbard with two suspension rings. In

worn but sound condition.

Sword: A scarce 1822/45 Pattern General & Staff Officers sword. Gilt brass hilt with Victorian Crown & crossed

sword logo. Good wirebound fishskin grip. Leather inner guard still intact. Blade 32" etched with crown & sword

logo. Maker H. Hill 3, Old Bond St, London. Decent blade with minor rust. In its gilt brass mounted leather scabbard.

(Leather in 3 parts). Furniture complete and in good condition. A decent sword which should restore well. (careful

when viewing)
