two menuki. In its lacquered scabbard with ornate shibabiki and Ishizuke. A small Kozuka/scabbard knife

inserted in scabbard and tool to the other side. Sold As Found

Japanese Type 32 Army Sword. Blade 30.5" numbered 89152. This is the shorter Type 32 Otsu Model

intended for men & NCOs in the Military Police & the Transportation Corps & all master sgts in the

Infantry, Engineers & Artillery. Production ceased in 1936. This sword has matching numbers on the blade

and scabbard drag. A good sword overall. Lacks the leather thumb loop. Surface rust.

Japanese Type 32 "KO" Army sword. Blade 32.75". SN: 9301 (no number visible on scabbard drag). Steel

bowl guard lacks leather thumb loop. Good blade, grip and scabbard in worn condition. The "KO" model

was intended for NCOs & men in the Cavalry. The scabbard has lost its suspension ring and appears to

have an 'in the field' copper wire repair. Early numbered Type 32 swords are scarce due to the heavy losses

in action during WW2.
