Revolver: a Smith & Wesson Model 3 Russian Third

Model in obsolete .44 cal S&W Russian. This revolver

made under licence by Ludwig Loewe & Co for the

Russian Government. Serial no. (matching) 5517. Barrel

6.5" marked 'LUDW. LOEWE & CO. WAFFEN &

MUNITIONS-FABRIK BERLIN' & 5517. This model

however made for commercial sale as it has the barrel

address in English & no Cyrillic markings. Good white

composition (ivory?) grips. Pleasing smooth dark patina

overall. Rifled barrel. Trigger guard with spur. The

whole in collector grade condition. Single action, minor

holster wear to the muzzle. A 'sleeper' in excellent w/o &

condition. Dates to approx 1876. No licence required.

Rifle: A Frank Wesson .44 Rim fire Calibre Sporting

Carbine. This is one of the Genre of 2 Trigger Frank

Wesson rifles. Made 1872-1888. SN 173?). Barrel 24"

with excellent bore & rifling. Two triggers, top trigger

releases the barrel with hammer on half cock. This

appears to be a 3rd Model Civilian Carbine, with

hammer adjustment for rim fire/CF. Long slide ejector

with knob to r/h side of action. Slotted link to limit travel

of breech is missing. Octagonal barrel with Wesson

address & patent date to 1862. (some finish remaining).

Buckhorn type rear sight. With its walnut buttstock. A

very attractive 3rd Model American Sporting Carbine

circa 1880. Good working order and condition. Obsolete

cal. No licence required. a/f

Rifle: A good model of a Napoleonic Wars Flintlock

Brunswick Rifle (used by Sharpe!!) Steel barrel 30.5"

brass furniture, steel ramrod. Polished wooden full stock,

patchbox. This is a one off scratch built model built as

part of an engineering degree project. A good accurate

full size model suitable for display or re-enactment. No

licence required a non functioning model.

Rifle: A Third Model Winchester Model 1866 repeating

Musket. Barrel 27" with 'Kings' Improvement stamp &

New Haven Address. Full length tube magazine. Flip up

Musket rear sight. Walnut 'shotgun' style buttstock & 3/4

length full fore stock. Sling swivels. This rifle purchased

by the Turkish Government (order 3,000 Carbines &

3000 Muskets) in 1870. Side of receiver with rack number

'377'. In good working condition. No licence required.

Rifle: A Turkish Composite 'cut to shut' Winchester

Model 1866 Carbine. Buttstock and action taken from an

1866 Carbine, the barrel and fore-end are cut down

components from an 1866 Musket. Barrel cut down to

19" and has a spurious 'Winchester' marking but no

unusual address, patent marks etc. Brass receiver (brazed

repair replacing a pin). Front Bore pitted and dirty, rifling

shot out (smooth bore?). Cut down Musket fore-end.

Musket rear sight (ladder broken off) seized, and wrong

barrel bands. Trigger screw replaced with nut. Pitting to

barrel and magazine (some deep). Cal.44 Rim fire.

Obsolete calibre. In working order (action weak) and

worn condition. Sold a/f

Shotgun: A 4 bore (approx) percussion S/B shotgun circa

1830. Barrel 31" approx. Large percussion hammer.

Chequered walnut stock with horn fore end. Action crisp

on first & second cock. In generally good condition for its

age. Probably used as a fowling piece.

Shotgun: A good flintlock sporting shotgun by Sikes circa

1800. Walnut half-stock with silver buttplate and

escutcheon with silver dragon motif sideplate. Barrel 33"

with English proofmarks. Approx 10 bore. (Lock sits a

little proud due to mirror loss to woodwork). With its

original brass tipped wooden ramrod. An attractive early

19th century sporting gun in generally good condition for

age.

shotgun. Back action lock marked 'HOLLAND' A good

quality gun. Barrel 30". Sidehammer lock. Chequered

walnut stock (loss to fore-end & horn finial chipped)

London.' An attractive sporting gun.

Blade 29.5". Smooth polished hardwood grip, no

scabbard. 2) An ethnic shortsword. Ornately carved

Indonesian type hilt. Tapered fullered s/edged blade 21".

Swords: silver mounted Burmese swords 'DHA' Plain

unfullered blades of 17" & 18" respectively. (Note the 17"

blade appears to have come from a Japanese Wakisashi?)

Both swords date to the 19th century and show wear

commensurate with age. The Japanese bladed item is an

attractive sword. Both lack scabbards. Viewing

recommended. (2)

Sword/Knive: an Edo Wak blade 14.5" with attractive

scabbard. The Fuchi is gilt brass, with Kashira from wood

and Menuki silver coloured, and the Tsuba in horn.

Unsigned tang. Black Ito over Same. With old silk carry

Sword: 1) Bayonet: An early 19th century French Briquet

sidearm (Le Coup Choux - the cabbage chopper!) Heavy

bladed brass grip, single edged unfullered blade 22.5"

(pitted edge, nicks etc). No scabbard. 2) Bayonet: A British

Pattern 1856 sword bayonet (no scabbard). Chequered

leather grips, press stud seized. Worn overall, grips

slightly a/f. (2)

Sword: A 'Medieval' cruciform sword in rusted & pitted

condition. Flat straight tapering blade 29". Straight

trumpet shaped quillons. Circular pommel. Tapered

tang. Rust pitted overall.

sword. Ribbed grip. Solid brass stirrup guard. Cultlass

type blade with hatchet point. No scabbard. Top fuller to

Sword: A Caucasian (?) hunting sword 18th/19th century

sharply curved blade approx 22". Heavy relief of men

hunting with dogs & bow & arrow (could be Indian scene

with large cat/lion?) Interesting silver covered grip. This

is a very interesting short sword of good quality. The relief

scene is very interesting (surface rust but will clean up

well) No scabbard. Viewing essential. A quality sword in
