group to 1272269 F/Sgt E A Pullinger RAF. Medals -

DFM, 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star + France &

Germany clasp, Defence & War Medal. Ernest Arthur

Pullingers DFM was L/G 7/12/1943 RAFVR No 7

Squadron. Plus named Buckingham Palace Award

Letter. Based at RAF Oakington, his first trip to Lorient

15th January, then 21 Jan Lorient, 26th Jan, 4 Feb Turin,

11 Feb Wilhelmshaven, 13 Feb Lorient, 14 Feb Cologne,

18 Feb Cologne, 1 March Berlin, 3 March Hamburg, 8

March Nuremberg, 11 March Stuttgart, etc etc. He was

commissioned Flying Officer late 1943 and posted away

from 7 Sqdn. All of his original crew was commissioned

and decorated with the DFC on completion of their

respective operational tours, Pullinger was the only

member to get the DFM and was later commissioned.
