A good original Imperial German WW1 trench knife.

Grooved wooden grips secured by 3 rivets. Crossguard

with up swept quillon and turned down front piece. Blade

6" approx with double edged spear point. In its steel

scabbard with frog loop (a/f but no losses) In good

original untouched condition.

A Great War German Snipers Shield found at Thiepval

in 1985. It has been restored with camouflage paint and

has a .303 bullet strike at 7 o'clock. Overall in excellent

condition for its age and has been sympathetically

restored. A iconic & scarce souvenir of WW1 Trench

Warfare. a/f

A large private purchase Officers WW1 Trench Torch

dated 1918 & numbered 351664. Length 30cms. Some

losses to leatherette grip. Overall good condition. A high

quality trench torch.

A Mannequin wearing a WW1 Other Ranks Uniform (A

quality replica from Khaki Devil Ltd) large size (XL) with

a replica gas mask & bag and a WW2 steel helmet. Height

of mannequin approx 6'4" with arms, legs and head. A

good basis for a museum dummy in full kit & equipment.

A Museum quality 25 pdr WW2 Shell in its brass case

marked '25 PR MK2' and dated 1945. Head of shell with

original black paint and red tracer stamp. Solid shot and

very heavy. Rarely found in this original condition.

Driving band indicates unfired condition.

A rare No 39M.MK.1 hand grenade. This grenade

believed to be part of the LAST batch made at the ROF

Factory. Fuse plug stamped 'No 36M. MK1, 1972. ROF

(P)' This grenade is INERT and in pristine condition.

Most probably used for instruction purposes. It is

contained in a carrying tin, An outstanding item for the

grenade connoisseur.

A top quality modern pistol case for the COLT MODEL

1860, .44 Calibre Army Revolver. Lined out in red velvet

with compartments for pistol, oil bottle, cleaning rod,

bullets and cap tin and mould. Complete with key. Light

wear but in very good condition. Great way to display

your revolver (takes Colt Navy as well). Lock in working

order.

A U.S. Jet Pilots knife of the pattern used in Vietnam in

the 1960s. A well used example. Bowie blade 5" with saw

tooth top blade. In its leather scabbard with sharpening

stone. Good condition with service wear.

A U.S. WW1 Model 1918 Knuckle Knife. Brass knuckle-

duster hilt with U.S. 1918 over H.D.& S. 1918 (Henry

Disston & Sons) Shortened double edged blade 6". in an

improvised scabbard cut down from a Ross Rifle bayonet

scabbard. Crude belt loop cut from top of scabbard. Item

is well worn and appears of some age. However these

knives are widely copied and this one is Sold as seen.

A WW2 Italian 'BRIXIA' Mortar Round. This

antipersonnel round cal 45mm and has a range of 500

metres. Could fire 18 rounds a minute. This round is in

museum grade condition. It fully disassembles and has its

original paint. In inert condition.

An 1821 Pattern Artillery Officers sword by Henry

Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London. Sword number 35867

which dates it to 1898 just prior to the Boer War. The

owners initials are etched in the blade with R.A.

engraving of Coat of Arms etc. A good quality sword.

Three dents to scabbard otherwise an untouched

'sleeper'.

An 1821 Pattern Artillery Officers sword by Hobson &

Sons London. Blade engraved 'E.G.T. CLAPHAM

ESSEX & SUFFOLK RGA' in a steel scabbard with two

hanging rings. Wire missing from fishskin grip. Triple bar

hilt. Blade is excellent.

An apprentice made model of a WW1 deck gun mounted

on a brass deck with chain railings. It appears to be a

model of the British 6 pounder used on submarines and

armed merchant vessels including 'Q' ships. Gun is 7"

long and the brass & wood base 9" x 6" & gun is 4" high.

A well made desk or museum piece with working parts.

An interesting Princess Mary's Gift Tin. The bottom

scratched 'FROM J.GILLILAND 4. S.A.M.R.' (South

African Mounted Rifles), containing: 1)Christmas card &

photo of Princess Mary. 2) A gift tin trench lighter. 3) An

old (WW1?) tobacco pouch with tobacco inside.

Interesting lot. Tin in v.g.c.

An original Imperial German Cigarette case made of gun

metal with Iron Cross motif dated 1914 to top left hand

corner. Inside the date 26.7.18 has been scratched in

Roman Numerals into the gun metal. Metal with age

staining and evidence of use.

An outstanding framed and glazed 1915 Trio and

Memorial Plaque with a photo of the recipient John

Francis Blight 2710 Pte 1/5th D.L.I. KIA Ypres 25.7.15.

(From Stanhope Durham, born Darlington) The frame is

made of fretwork in intricate patterns and can be hung

on the wall or has an optional free standing stand.

An outstanding WW1 20Ib Coopers Aerial Bomb.

Original dark blue paint with stencilled 'EMPTY' (when

filled they were painted different colours). Serial number

'170' stamped into metal. The whole bomb disassembles.

It has its original fuse protector cap & propeller fuse. Four

rear fins detaches from main body. A very rare bomb in

completely original condition.

Tank made into an oil lamp. Construction of copper and

brass. Copper plates to top one with 'TANK CORPS'

engraved the other with 'FEAR NAUGHT' 1917/18

Halfpennies used as rollers for the Track. Copper ribbed

track. Snuffer attached to top of tank. Vickers m/gun to

front. Heavy metal construction. Super piece of original

WW1 Trench Art of Tank Corps Interest.

Brigade R.F.A. DOW, Ypres, Belgium on 12.1.16. Son

of Mrs Hudson of 'Queensmere Wimbledon Park

S.W.19. Buried at Lijssenock military cemetery, Ypres,

Belgium. Would have been returned to his mother with

other items of his kit.
