A scarce and sought after copy of the iconic Case V-42

WW2 dagger made exclusively for the 1st Special Service

Force (The Devils Brigade). The Case knives are

excessively rare. The knives made by H.G. Long & Co.

are widely recognised as the next best thing. Blade 7.5"

blued with square ricasso stamped: 'H.G. Long & Co.

CROSS DAGGER, SHEFFIELD ENGLAND' with

crossed daggers logo. Brass crossguard 7cm. Leather

washer hilt with brass sections, brass 'skull crusher'

pommel cap. Thumbprint' to reverse ricasso, to aid grip.

In its brass mounted leather scabbard. Blackened brass

mounts (some wear). A beautifully made knife of top

quality & iconic design.

Bayonet: A British No5 bayonet for the Jungle Carbine,

ricasso marked 'WSC' (Wilkinson Sword Company) in its

steel scabbard. Good condition, blued bowie type blade.

marked 'WSC & 294' (The Wilkinson Code). The

Ricasso also has 2 small notches cut into the blade.

Possibly a trials type - notches for holding wine steady?

Bayonet: A scarce Pattern 1917 U.S. Great War bayonet

for the P.17 rifle. On the left hand of the ricasso the

Pattern date reads 1918 instead of 1917. It is not clear if

this was a Remington factory error. In any event this is a

scarce marking. In its associated steel mounted leather

scabbard with U.S belt hook and marked 'JEWELL

1918'. Good blade and condition. Minor wear to grips.

scabbard marked 1889. Small buff frog with U.S. wire

belt attachment. Possibly for cadet use. Socket marked

'C-3882'. Polished blade 18". Ricasso marked 'SD &

F.D.' Good condition overall.

rivets with black chequered grips. In its steel scabbard

Scabbard with correct green frog and dated '1940'. Worn

knife with an unusual adapted leather frog. Blade 7.5

with clipped back point. Converted P17 scabbard with

leather retaining loop to frog. An official conversion,

muzzle ring removed.
