Martini - Henry Rifle. In its steel mounted leather

scabbard (Locket with Indian Farsi markings). Plain

unfullered blade 18.25". Ricasso dated 1889 &

'WILKINSON SWORD COMPANY LONDON' and

'WD' inspection marks. Good (hand worn) grips. A

decent example, some dents to scabbard fittings.

October 1917. Pommel marked 'SAP' (South African

Police) and with 5th African Govt ownership mark to

reverse of pommel.

Grip with oval rivets denoting manufacture by Japan for

This is a double sword (i.e. two swords in the same

scabbard which give the appearance of only one sword).

Blades 28" (approx). Plain wooden grips. Brass furniture

scabbard with simple decoration. Worn overall, circa

1870-1900

Cutlass: A Continental Naval, all steel cutlass circa 1860.

Design based on the French 1842 Pattern. Curved blade

26". In its brass mounted leather scabbard (small anchor

motif to locket). Has been cleaned overall. Good

condition.

Early 1800's Cavalry Officers Mameluke sword. This

design of sword originated from the Egyptian Campaign

of 1801-1802. This appears to be an early Napoleonic

'fighting' Mameluke with a plain steel crossguard with

ball finials, horn grip secured by two rivets. Curved pipe

back blade 31" with chipped back spear point. Blade is

well engraved with acanthus type scrolling. In its iron

scabbard with two hanging rings (repainted black). Minor

scrape to top of horn grip. Nice early fighting sword

Eprouvette powder tester circa 1800. Ring necked cock

brass frame & shot barrel. No makers mark. An

interesting piece of firearms curiosa. Lock works well on

first and second cock.

French brass handled sidearm. Curved blade 24" Ricasso

marked "H&R" & "REMSHELL". Plain unfullered,

clipped point blade. Brass stirrup hilt with ribbed grip, in

its brass mounted leather scabbard. Circa mid 19th

Century. A good example.

French model 1857/69 carbine. These rifles were

modified from the French Model 1857 percussion rifle

for Infantry. The action is based on the snider system

with a hinged breech block. The carbine fired on 18mm

x35 Tabatiere cartridge. These carbines found fame

during the defence of Paris 1870, against the Prussians

after the defeat at Sedan. The rifle is known as the 'fusil á

Tabatiere'. Obsolete calibre no licence required. Iron

parts rusted overall, barrel 23". 'Walnut stock. (Ramrod

missing). Iron furniture. A good solid untouched piece

and scarce. No licence required. Scarce.

Brown Bess/Pedesoli made in Italy. Originally for black

powder firing, but has been deactivated in 1997. With

certificate. Good Quality piece in GC (Buyer collects)
