Japanese Sword Shin Gunto Type 98. In its brown steel scabbard with semegane & ishizuke. Hilt with rayskin

same. Brown cloth binding with triple cherry blossom Menuki. Scabbard Kabutogane. Pierced brass tsuba. A

fine blade with hamon, 27.5". Signed nakago. *a note with sword states ''General Shokari Shi Moto. 8th Area

Army. - Kotaro - Shimoto". Command 9th Artillery June 1944. Viewing strongly recommended. A collectors

lot of the best quality. (with note sheet). Superb piece

Japanese WW2 Nambu 8mm Automatic pistol. 8mm

calibre barrel approx 4.5". This is a development of the

14th year Taisho pistol of 1935. The enlarged trigger

guard dates this pistol to circa 1939. Grooved wooden

grips, the action in good working order. Pistol comes in

its original and rare leather holster of clamshell design

with integral bullet pouch without doubt a WW2

souvenir. Pistol deactivated with certificate. No licence

required. A collector's lot in original untouched

condition.

Japanese WW2 Type 98 Shin-Gunto. Good heavy blade

28". Iron Tsuba with interesting raised figures. Rayskin

same with light brown tape binding and two menuki.

The Kashira has a delightful bronze raised rabbit motif

to top. In its leather bound wooden scabbard with single

Ast. Long curved handle 11", (minor wear to a small

section of tape). This is a quality sword and may be a

civilian Katana fitted out for military duty. A collector's

lot. Viewing strongly recommended.

In its brass mounted leather scabbard with elastic

retaining loop. Good condition overall.

Knife: A scarce WW2 fighting knife by Cogswell &

Harrison the London Gunsmiths (see R. Flook The F.S

knife page 181) Blade 5.5" S shaped crossguard, stiletto

blade ricasso etched 'Cogswell & Harrison Ltd. 168

Piccadilly' & 'London England'. Plain wood grip. In its

original shaped leather scabbard (retaining loop with

leather split). The whole in excellent condition. A

collectors lot.

and lanyard loop to pommel - unusual.

its ornate brass mounted scabbard and brass hilt. Deers

foot paper knife with horn blade engraved 'Present from

Large open frame Gasser Model 1870/74. 'Montenegrin'

type. Calibre 11mm. Centre fire (obsolete, no licence

required). Unusually with Birmingham proof marks and

retailed by J.C. Chandler of London Bridge, London

(address to barrel). Barrel 6" with pinched type rear sight.

Sidegate loading (catch a/f). Double action (a/f). Trigger

guard section has lost its screws and has dropped. Ejector

rod assembly missing. A restoration project ! a/f
