Soviet group - Order of the Red Star numbered 1348837

award decree in 359th rifle div 22/12/1944, and Order

of the Great patriotic War 1st Class numbered 280306

award decree in 74th rifle corps 20/5/1945. Awarded to

Senior Lieut Vachtang Shakarovich Isoyan, Assistant of

the Chief of Air Defence Spandar'yanskaya Area City

Erevan Armenia. Commendation for the Red Star:

Guardian Lieut Isoyan in action for the Patriotic War

since Jan 1943 was Wounded, a skilful and

knowledgeable Commander. Commendation for the

Great Patriotic War 1st Class: While at the Germans

break through battle on 14 Jan 1945 the company under

the command of Isoyan attacked the trenches with few

losses. Personally he has inspired the company by his own

example, in that battle killing two German soldiers.

14/2/1945 near by Keltingen (Poland), Isoyan attacked

and took the village killing 3 and capturing 5. 18/2/1945

during the battle for Shmedifeld (Thuringen, Germany)

his company was under heavy enemy fire, he personally

killed 3 Germans, he was severely Wounded during

action. Lot includes Red Book and photo. A superb lot

to a gallant soldier. Enamel damaged to Red Star noted.

Soviet Group - Order of the Red Star numbered 599002

awarded 8/6/1944, Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class

numbered 361800 awarded 13/9/1944, and Order of

Alexander Nevsky numbered 25933 awarded

23/3/1945. Awarded to Lieut Vladimir Venidiktovich

Shkil, served 2nd Belorussian front 49th army 139 rifle

51st rifle division 718 rifle regiment - commander of

platoon. Citations read: March 25 during offensive

battles Comrade Shkil destroyed 1 mediummachine gun,

2 dug out shelters and killed 20 German soldiers all with

his mortar, awarded Order of the Red Star. For Order of

the Patriotic War 2nd Class: while taking part in offensive

operations on the rivers of Pronya, Basya and Dniper

(Belorussia) Comrade Shkil quickly found and suppressed

all firing points that were in the Soviet infantries way.

During the period of June 5 till August 1, his battery

destroyed 2 antitank guns, 13 machine guns, 1 loaded

truck, 6 wagons and up to 14 enemy soldiers and officers

were killed. Recommendation for Order of the Patriotic

War 1st Class: Lieut Shkils platoon was one of the first to

enter the town of Karthouse, destroying two enemy

points on route, on May 3rd 1945 in the Battle for the

village of Gzhibno, his platoon broke the enemy counter

attack destroying three machine gun nests and almost one

troop of German Soldiers. In the battle for the village of

Dombrovo up to 15 of the enemy were killed.

Recommendation up graded to the Order of Alexander

Nevsky. A superb WW2 group with original Red Book.
