RNVR LSGCM (GV) named T/SUB Lieut H V Cox

RNVR. Henry Vincent Cox (Harry as entered on his

Officers papers) was born 1886, served in the battleship

HMS Thunderer from 16/5/1914 to 29/5/1914 and

again from 25 Aug 1914 to 9 Aug 1917. Seeing action at

the Battle of Jutland 31/5/1916. Granted a commission

T/Sub Lieut 20/12/1917, and 16/3/1918 served yacht

HMS Catania. 28/5/1918 appointed to Motor Launch

447, later given command of ML430 and then ML504.
