Soviet Order for Service to the Motherland in the Armed
Forces of the USSR 3rd Class, numbered 75234,
awarded 31/1/1987. With detailed research. Awarded to
Alexander Vladimirovich Galmukov an Operational
Staff Watch Officer Major. 'Comrade Galmukov has
been in Afghanistan since August 1985, during this time
Major Galmukov 8 times took part in launching
elimination operations, he walked in a column more than
10 miles on a route Kunduz-Puli Khumri-Asadabad. He
showed himself as a brave, decided, courageous man,
ready to fulfil difficult combat tasks. He distinguished
himself in a special way on 24 June 1986 during a combat
operation near Hanabad. Major Galmukov took personal
control over 3rd Motorized Rifle Company, outflanked
the rebels and attacked them. Due to his generalship the
gang of rebels was put to death. Two machine guns, small
arms and ammunition were captured'. Order EF and

detailed research. Order awarded on 10th Feb 1942
Black Sea Fleet to Senior Lieut Michail Illarionovich
Malachov, Commander of the Guard Boat in 1941, for
exemplary combat tasks, execution of the Command on
the Front of Battle with the German invaders and having
shown valour and courage while in the Defence of Odessa
City. He was later Killed 10/9/1943. Small area of
damage to red enamel noted. RARE
